Klyr — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Klyr (“we”, “us”, “the app”) handles your information when you use our mobile application.

Summary (the short version)

• We don’t collect personal information. No account required, no email, no name.
• Scan history stays on your device. Not uploaded to our servers.
• Camera is used only for barcode scanning. Images are processed in real time and never stored or transmitted.
• We don’t use third-party trackers, advertising IDs, or analytics that identify you.

What information Klyr accesses

Camera

Klyr uses your device’s camera to scan barcodes. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit any images or video.

Product database lookups

When you scan a barcode, Klyr sends only the barcode number (e.g. 4751014820123) to the Open Food Facts API and our own product database to retrieve product information. These requests do not include any personal information or identifiers tied to you.

Scan history

Klyr stores your scan history locally on your device. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is not synced to any cloud service
• Is deleted when you uninstall the app

What information we do NOT collect

• Your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers
• Your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA)
• Your location (GPS or otherwise)
• Your contacts, photos, or other app data
